Pouring rain here in Benicia, and not looking good at SFO:
Due to WEATHER / LOW CEILINGS, there is a Traffic Management Program in effect for traffic arriving San Francisco International Airport, San Francisco, CA (SFO). This is causing some arriving flights to be delayed an average of 2 hours and 37 minutes.

There were wind gusts in excess of 100mph on Mt. Diablo so I would imagine it is a rough ride coming in.

The sky fell tonight - the most violent thunder and hailstorm I can ever remember in California. The hail from an hour again hasn't melted - some of the stones were close to 1/2" in diameter.

We've had thunder and lightning up here but no hail yet. Hoping the power doesn't go out.

To anyone flying into the SF Bay Area in the next several days, I recommend that you go with Oakland (OAK) or San Jose (SJC) if either is a reasonable alternative for you. SFO is going to struggle with single runway landings for days to come. That will really disrupt the operations there.

And let's not forget a tornado touching down near Santa Rosa and a waterspout just 100 yards off Ocean Beach
