Does anyone know if Chanel is less expensive in Paris or even at Duty Free shops in London or Paris?
Thinking I need to stock up when over there if thats the case....

I don't know, but my guess is that they'd have to be much cheaper to offset the currency you're buying it in - Euro is $1.40 today & GBP is $1.61.
Cheers.

You can find Heathrow Duty Free prices on line, so you can take a look and see if it is cheaper for you there.

I don't know if it's that much cheaper, but years ago I was told it was made with a differnet "base" then the American version so it lasts longer. (I have never tested this)
Also they often have nice travel sizes in France that I cannot find here!

No, unfortunately it is not less expensive in Paris. In fact, cheaper in the US. I like Allure EDP and in the US, the 100ml is $115. In Paris, the 100ml is 111,50Eur. I think the small 35ml is around 55Eur, that size we don't have in the US. Not sure but I do not believe you get the 12% de taxe back on Chanel fragrances/beauty. Though, I did get the de taxe back on Chanel sunglasses and a Chanel belt a few years ago.
Duty Free is not less expensive either.

I bought mine at a department store and got the detaxe so....
The small sizes are worth a premium since they fit in my "terrorist free" zip lock baggie!

I think I am just going to get it in Paris just because I can! It'll be my little treat to myself!

Sounds like a good reason to me!

London Heathrow Duty Free the price for 100ml Allure EDP is 68 GBP (which is about 78 Euro or $110) They do 50ml and a purse spray size as well.

Buy it in Sephora - they'll wrap it beautifully & give you lots of little samples. French Sephora has different ranges to the US Sephora, so well worth a browse

The local Sephora here didn't have it last time I went, I don't think they carry it at all. I ended up with Ralph Lauren Romance Forever Yours, which is a close second to Coco mme and I get compliments every time I wear it.
I will check out French Sephora for sure!

As you have seen, many items 'from' Europe are less expensive in the US. I like the French Sephora because they still carry a broad range of their house brand products, many of which were only in the US stores for a short period of time or were never stocked in store.
Sephora does vary from country to country. The prices actually tend to be higher in the French stores than in the US stores in general, but the broader range of products is appealing to me. Colours are also based on local tastes; I always stock up on 'my' colour of Sephora lipstick in France because it is not sold in China at all, and never seems to be in stock in the US stores.
