We are a multi-generational with varying degrees of mobility (wheelchairs to walking and everything in between) family taking my mom to Puerto Rico for her 80th birthday. We're staying at the Marriott La Concha Renaissance. I'd appreciate any information or suggestions previous guests may have.:)

Had a great stay there in 2007. Its right on Ashford street, in the Condado neighbourhood/area... Lots of good restaurants nearby (and reasonably priced [some of them])... Its a safe area, right by the beach. You can take the public bus to old San Juan, which was very cool. Puerto Rico is great, but don't expect the same services as you would in Canada/US for disabled people.. While they do comply with disability laws, you will find it less accessible in PR than you would somewhere in mainland North America .

You'll find the hotel completely accessible and the Condado area is generally pretty accessible as well though a few restaurants are in older buildings that don't have ramps.
