Traveling on PHL AMS flight on sat at 8:45PM. System says no meal. Does that mean in coach and business or will I get fed in business? Any other tips for this flight will be appreciated.
thanks.

Interesting, I think I saw the same thing for my upcoming PHL-FRA-PHL on virtuallythere.com However, I just checked with International and there are still meals served in coach. That'd be a bit strong if they didn't. That said, I wouldn't put it past them.

Not sure why the system says that but I am sure you will get a meal. I just flew US in Envoy from PHL to FRA and there was a meal in both classes.

I am not sure what equipment US flies to AMS but if it is an Airbus, try to get Row 1 as they are the old first class seats which allow you to lay down. These seats are usually reserved for Chairmans Preferred or full paying passengers. I had a full fare Envoy ticket so I requested and got Row 1 on the way to FRA and back. Good Luck!

US only flies 767s to AMS.

There are meals in both classes. Coach was a not too bad Lasagna a couple of weeks ago.

Several weeks ago, there were meals in both classes. A hot dinner in both classes, and shortly before landing, a breakfast snack. In coach the snack is a muffin and in envoy it is usually a bagel or muffin and some fresh fruit.

Sorry to disagree here, in Envoy the breakfast service is usually a bagel or soggy croissant and some incredibly stale fruit. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

This may be the low point of USAirways food service. Yes, I think the Envoy class breakfast is worse than drinking wine out of plastic.

Have to agree that the breakfast in Envoy from PHL to FRA was worse than any I had ever had in Business. I usually fly LH to FRA either from PHL or IAD and they serve a nice breakfast before landing. On LH, part of the breakfast is a warm item like eggs or something pull fruit and bread. On US it was a boring bagel and some fruit. For me the breakfast on US was however no big deal since I usually do not eat much for breakfast considering they just served dinner approx. 4 hours before.
