US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Are CS007's transferable?View Full Version : Are CS007's transferable? nawlinsdoc Sep 25, 03, 3:51 pm Just wondering, since I want to let my wife use mine that is expiring. Thanks. PHL Sep 25, 03, 8:21 pm I recall(from when I had a few) that it is printed on the front 'non-transferrable'. And, my name was typed on it. So, like an upgrade paper cert, these would not be transferrable. I imagine the EBay market would be hopping if they were. mileshound Sep 25, 03, 8:52 pm They are not transferrable but you MAY be able to use it for a companion. I don't know if that is an official policy or not. SOME agents treat them like other upgrades that are not transferrable but OK for a companion. They want to make sure you are not selling them. I was given a pair of CS0007s a couple of years ago by Consumer Affairs and they told me they would be transferrable (even though they said non-transferrable)-- I even had them document this. I verified this over and over because as a CP, in my opinion, the CS007 has somewhat limited value for my own travel and I would have preferred a voucher instead. Well, to make a long story short, when I tried to use it for someone they refused to honor it and did not see any documentation in the record. Very frustrating, and I just ended up throwing out the pair of CS0007s. MaineFlyer16 Sep 26, 03, 2:31 am I've gotten a pair of them before. Mine specifically said it could be transfered once, but the other one (for my travel companion) said non-transferable. |
