I am considering booking a flight from the PIT area to HNL using the 60K mile award. My question is, if I book a reward that is on both US and UA and cancel to redeposit is there a penalty? As a US1 I know I can redeposit US miles on any itinerary that I book with no redeposit fee...but here I am using UA to get to HNL and am not certain.

Help is appreciated.

Got the answer from USAIR - as long as the miles come out of your USAIR account...redeposit is available for free.

As long as you are a US1,2 or 3. Otherwise there is a $70 redeposit fee.
