In a post on the Hilton forum,

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum57/HTML/008745.html

A US CP indicated that he had gotten a free comp to Hilton Gold in the mail recently. Has anyone else gotten this offer? It's not part of the CP offers on the web like it was last year.

My HH Gold status is due to expire next year (looks like I'm going to be a few stays short), and I'm looking for a way to renew it. I'm hoping they'll send this one to me.

I got an unrequested Hilton Gold card after I made CP last year. So now I am staying in a few Hiltons.

Do they only give perks like this to CPs or is it possible that I might see some as a GP? It would definately be nice to have elevated status at some hotels, especially Hiltons and Starwoods.

No thanks, I'm just lurking. Call me the Lurker!

I got it in the mail 2 days ago. What exactly are the benefits of HH Gold?

The total list of benefits can be found at

http://www.hilton.com/en/hhonors/benefits/levels.jhtml

but the biggest ones for me are that you always get an executive level or towers room if they're available, and access to the lounge or a free breakfast if they're not.

Hilton definitely has the best mid-tier status of any of the hotel programs.

I did not get this. I did get the Hyatt offer for 4 stays in the same time period to make Diamond.

I would have rather had the HH offer since I stay there more oftn.

That said, I will still make the Hyatt diamond since I can't turn down that good of an offer.

Don't forget. As a CP, you get Platinum (http://www.usairways.com/dividendmiles/preferredlevels/preferred_offers_03/cp03.htm) status with Hyatt for just two stays!

I must be losing my edge....I forgot about that. I'll go for platinum on my way to diamond in case I don't make it.

GP and got Hyatt Gold (last month) and SPG Gold (last spring). Both times they referenced US Airways, so I figure it was based off the FF lists somewhere. From what I could figure, the Hyatt Gold is the same thing if you just go to their website (https://www.goldpassport.com/secure/index.asp) and sign up. As far as I'm concerned, that's the same as being US4 - anyone can sign up to get it. SPG Gold would be more like being US3, and does have several nice little perks that I've used.

Still, neither is close to Hyatt Diamond/SPG Platinum... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
