GLBT Travelers - 5K Run on JFK Runway

Anyone doing this? I haven't run in ages, but I feel I could prob still do a 5k.

Last year due to the runway construction the run was actually on the airport roadways and not the runway. The construction has been completed, but if running on the runway is important I would make sure they are using the runway this year.

Do the runners have to bring passports or ids with them? They have to go airside to get to the runway.

I would be game. Slow. But game.

So let's do it. I haven't "trained" in a long time, so we can all skip down the runway together. Plus, this will give me a reason to give up smoking again.

I'm all signed up. Judging by the website, it appears the run will be on the runway.

Haven't run in ages, but figure a few days of training should be enough for a 5k (or I hope, anyway).

I actually ran with my cam in one hand and iPhone in the other. Snapped a few shots (pre and post run)...will post shortly (unfortunately pics are disabled in the GLBT forum...calling Peterop!)
