View Full Version : Where's My Commission??????

In the last 3 days I have helped 2 FF'ers gain "comped" Gold status on US, one a coworker and another who e-mailed me from a post on CO's web site.

If I keep selling the merits of US, I want a commission!

But seriously since US has a limited ad budget wouldn't it make sense to have a referral program where those of us who do "Sell" and convince our co-workers and friends to switch to US. It should be to hard to track referral activity and reward us according to dollars spent.

Something like: Refer a friend who spends $2,000.00 in the calender year and get a coupon for 50% off US Airways Club membership

i'd be a rich man if i were compensated for the business i have generated for this airline.

i haven't even ever helped anyone get comped. just about everybody i've started out on us airways is now at least gold, and they did it the old-fashioned way -- buying tickets.

I respectfully disagree. How about they do their job at a fair price, we speak well about them, and in return they treat us with respect. There may be some components to that missing right now, but perhaps your helping them get additional Gold members who presumably will actually spend some money with them will get them (and not just take away upgrades) back on track.

I'm considering a switch too, especially since you're on your way in to the star alliance and I take a few trips to Asia each year. Only question is, does anyone have experience flying out of EWR? And is it really possible to upgrade a $195 (before taxes) K class fare from EWR - LON for only 60,000 miles? Does that really happen? No games, no surchages? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

As long as there are seats available in the upgrade class of service. If not, than you are permitted to standby day of departure.

Dingo,
I was just in a mood! I'd gladly settle for your scenario ANY DAY!
