Hello all, basic question.
Do you still need to show the original credit card used to make the booking though the Thai Airways website?
Last few times i wasnt asked for it, was this just an oversight or have they updated the online payment method?
Thanks

I travelled TG today ICN-BKK and wasn't asked for my credit card. But Asiana does the TG check-in at ICN. :)

Take the card with you.. it's hit or miss with Thai .. sometimes they ask, sometimes they don't. I find they ask more often on the outbound flight to Thailand. One time with EVA when I didn't have the card, they made me buy another ticket on the spot and wait for a refund for the original booking. You don't want to go through that...

ROP Gold don't need to show anymore.
CC Bookings via travel agents or third parties usually don't get checked either.
Non ROP-Gold who book through TG website and didn't use SecureCode or VfV usually get asked by the check-in agent.

I was asked at HND. I booked my ticket on the phone because the website requires 72 hours advance and I bought it 36 hours. The agent advised me of this. I think that I only gave them card # and expiration.

Traveled with Thai a few weeks back, my buddy was asked for CC (I was traveling on Thai with an ANA award ticket and was not asked for CC)

The transfer desk at Hong Kong always asks for the credit card, maybe it's because I use CX or GA up then transfer to the TG network, otherwise I can't think of any other time that they want to see it.

Do you normally book through the TG website? Thought someone with your travel pattern would have a good travel agent?

The word is you are the best, but I have more time on my hands nowadays, and I am enjoying doing it myself since I upgraded with all the latest toys. I find that I can sniff out those $2000AU TG J Aust-Thai tickets better than most. Nice that you scored the 77W from CNX.

I love how they bow as the check-in counters open.
Just issued an award ticket for my wife (from LAX service center). Although she used her own credit card to pay for the taxes, she was asked to present the card at check-in. :( It is retarded, but oh well...

The entire bowing culture in general is fabulous over there. the OZ crew do a co-ordinated bow on board too.
