Caribbean - Almond Beach Village rooms BGI?

Thinking of going here again for a cheap week in the sun, visited it 10 years ago.
Has any one stayed here recently and if so can they recommend which room number/block to request?
I believe there is a newer section and also they are refurbishing some of the resort?
Any feed back would be much appreciated!;)

I have a friend who has just visited Almond Beach Village. He said that the rooms were good, the food was nice and the weather was fantastic! I went to Almond Smugglers Cove last August- that was quite a nice resort. The food was fantastic, the swim up bar was nice and the all inclusive service was great but the resort did need a lick of paint and the beach was a major disappointment!
