Sucks.

But must be done.

Oy.

LOL.

This happened quite a bit when I was in the Army, especially while in Korea. It was quite normal to show up for PT and the smell of alcohol (after a night of freely imbibing out in the village), and I admit I've done it a few times.

When I swam with the masters group at ASU at the 6am workouts, there would be a couple of folks who definitely smelled a bit underwater.

Been there, done that re: too much vino, late night. Both running & swimming sucks the next morning when you have a massive headache. Your body feels better when you're done, but your head still hurts.

Cheers.

No crying unless there is a corresponding post in this thread (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/omni/230079-bugger-i-am-drunk.html).

Actually after 6 miles in 64 minutes, I felt a world better. Nothing like some endorphans and sweat to clear up the body and noggin. It's just SO hard to get up and start when you feel like dreck.

And now....it's happy hour! :D

Agreed. Cardio is awesome. Weights not so much.

The downside (or is it?) is that I always feel I have earned a beer after a good workout. Even a post-hangover workout. ;)

Definitely tough. In my younger days (college) I would do this on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Not so fun.

only thing worse, is a sunburn

Hey, I got a sunburn from running on Thursday. Didn't even think of it, went out at 12:30 and ended up running for just over an hour. It was rough getting up to swim on Friday morning.

Don't think I've ever done hungover and sunburned though.

Although I have no idea why, this happens to me a lot :D

But it is soooo good for sweating out the alcohol, and I much prefer the cardio route when I accidentally over-medicate.

That and a stonking great greasy breakfast....

Agreed! As long as I can keep the nausea under control, my body always feels better when I'm done. (And it'll sometimes coerce the mind to join the "feel good" party, too. :p)

*knock on wood* but I've not done this since college. Just not worth it to me.

I'm a fan of hot yoga after a later (or early) night. Something about sweating out all the bad stuff makes me feel like new (or at least arguably less hungover than before). The downside is that your neighbor on the yoga mat may stare at you when you start to smell like a distillery.

It's the only thing making me fit for the day after a long night. The only caveat: it absolutely has to be outdoors, preferably skiing.

Whew, ran off a doozy today. It really does work, though!

The Bikram studio by my old house used to smell SO horrible during the Saturday morning classes... it reminded me of what the back alley behind a bar smells like.
