I read from some other forums that FPC Plat also gets Elite at Club Swiss Gold (Swissotel). Just want to find out how if it is true.

I read from some other forums that FPC Plat also gets Elite at Club Swiss Gold (Swissotel). Just want to find out how if it is true.
Never heard of this, I´m happy to have a look at the info if you send me the link/info via PM or post it here.
However, Premier and Plat members do receive some benefits when staying at Swissotel and Raffles hotels like comp. local calls, fitness club access, welcome amenity etc.

It was just someone claimed that he had done the match. No details from that claim.

Getting a status match is something different than all Plats getting Swiss Club Elite status.;)
I guess it wouldn´t be impossible as a Plat with 30+ nights at various Fairmonts to approach Swiss Club and ask for a status match if you intend to give them a fair amount stays/revenue. I´ve never heard of Swissotel having an official "status match program", but as with most companies, they´ll try to accomodate you if you offer some $$$$ in return.
However, status matches are usually a "once in a lifetime" option. (there are long master threads in the MilesBuzz forum about hotel program status matches and airline status matches)

Since it appears that FPC members can get stays at the Swissotel credited towards status, and likewise Club Swiss Gold members can stay at the Fairmont and receive credit towards status, could somebody confirm if "Friends & Famiy" reservations at the Fairmont will be valid for this?

Just heard back from the Club Swiss Gold. They do not do match to FPC; but they offer me on advantage award which they already put into my account. Think they are nice enough to offer me this.
"The advantage award is valid for one of the following:
Advantage Award:
A complimentary room upgrade for 2 consecutive nights during one stay, or
2 complimentary breakfasts per stay (either 1 breakfast for 2 people or two breakfasts for one person), or
One 24 hour period of complimentary internet access (non-cumulative)"

I think you're asking if a F&F rate at a Fairmont would count for stay credit in Club Swiss Gold? I haven't tried, but I CAN tell you that an F&F rate at a Swissotel counts for stay credit in FPC.

I did get a strange email a couple days ago from Fairmont stating that i had achieved/maintained Plat status for this year. This however is not true, my profile shows now premier. But the email also stated another number: probably the SG number (started at least with SG). I did stay three nights at a swissotel last year, and at that time also become member of Swiss Gold (just before finding out that they give Fairmont benefits).
I am puzzled....
