US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Fast Track to Silver

I have about 12K in Preferred Miles and have a lga-clt trip trying to use the latest double miles promo (fingers crossed). So at about 14K miles, does US have anything out there thats a fast track to Silver? I'm looking at potential mileage runs (nyc-florida or nyc-msy) are all decent but only get me around 5K when I include the double miles promo. I'm really not a huge fan of rotting on planes over 3-4 weekends to pull it off....

I have called the last two weeks. There are no challenges at this time. I am gold and wanted to secure my status. She said to check back next month.

LGA-CLT-FRA or LGA-PHL-FCO and back would be ~10K miles. If those are 330s (I can't remember which routes are anymore without looking) then it's a pretty nice flight, even in Y. I've done both RDU-FRA-RDU and RDU-EZE-RDU in long weekends for short vacation trips.

If you want to stay in the US, I'd look at LGA-CLT-LAS and back for 5K miles or LGA-CLT-LAX for a little more.

It depends if you want hard core mileage runs or want to have a vacation out of the trip. For a vacation type, then I'd look at places you want to go that are a good distance for the miles.

There is a challenge (see Bonus code thread) but it is for people who are trying to 'get back' Gold status.

I had a friend talk the agent (and supervisor) into registering even though they didnt previously have Gold.
