US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Why mediocre performance on SFO-PHL routes?

Need to fly SFO-PHL next month. #196 has 40% "on-time" record. #82 is 50%. Returning from PHL, #197 is 40% and #117 is 40%. Best avail is #52 at 80%, though I would prefer to avoid the morning rush at SFO.

Is this endemic to the entire USscare system or just the SFO flights? I don't think we can blame SFO as UA is now running on-time on most of its reduced schedule.

Also, does anyone know when the SFO US Club is closing?

See one of the many strings on PHL. You have a mandatory 30 min wait on the runway (narrow alleyways are one of the causes of this)

UA also flies SFO-PHL check their on-time %

It's been a couple of years, but I used to fly LAX-SFO regularly. In the winter and spring, fog can shut down SFO regularly. So it really depends on the what the time frame involved is in figuring that on-time percentage.

It's PHL runway congestion as poster above said. I fly this route all the time, matter of fact will fly PHL-SFO this Sunday on US197. Service is pretty good, and my perspective is, on a nearly 6 hour flight being 20-30 minutes late isn't such a big deal.

PHL-LAX has similar difficulties (#14 I think it is?) has 30% on time. Mostly PHL runway problems...
