What is the connection between H to J terminals like?

I have a 60min connection from Copa (international) to United (domestic) and I'd like to know what to expect. (Will I be able to drop my bag off right after customs?)

There is no airside connection, you will need to re-enter Security. Unless Copa will interairline your bag to UA after you collect it from customs, you will need to recheck it with UA. 60 minutes will be tight. Assuming your flight is on time, you will have customs to deal with and then wait for your bag. Could take 15 minutes in all, could take much longer.

Once I exit H, to get to J is it a bus, train or walking?

I was researching this a little while ago as I am looking to do this later in the year and my understanding is that there is now an H-J post-security connector:

That connector is definitely there (it's where the Delta Sky Club is), but won't you have to re-clear security after clearing Customs?
