Hi again Flyertalkers, remember me? I just wanted to share a letter I received from my previous employer, US Airways.

Dear Brenda,

In November of 2002US Airways launched the Dividend MilesEmployee Recognition Program. Through this program, Dividend Miles Preferred members can recognize US AIrways employees for their extraordinary efforts. Since the program's start, Dividend Miles Preferred members have recognized over 6,500 employees.

At this time, I would like to congratulate you for being recognized 4 times by Dividend Miles Preferred members between November 1, 2002 and June 30, 2003. Thank you for being a valued member of the US Airways team. Employees like you make US Airways an exceptional airline. Please keep up the good work.

Sincerely,
Jerrold A. Glass
Senior Vice President
Employee Relations

Response...

Dear Mr. Glass,

I am saddened to inform you that I can no longer provide the good work you commend me for. US Airways management made the regrettable decision to close several reservations offices where hundreds of talented employees like myself were loyal to this company for most of their working lives. We were forced to relocate our families or find other careers in the same area at much lower pay and benefits.

...and so on.

Anyway, thank you to all who might have sent a card in appreciation of my service.

Thank You
Brenda W.

I gained alot from your responses. Thank you for posting here. I would vote to have US rehire you back.

Your reservations office in MCO fixed a major reservations problem I had back in year 2000.

Again, thank you for your responses on FT.

Does anyone have the web site where you can log/post these employee commendations? I seem to remember it on the boards, but I was not able to locate it.

Also hope that you are doing ok beyond US.

I have found so many good US employees that I regularly speak with a rep in Consumer Affairs-and my calls are all but one positive. She fills out the appropriate forms and sends internal equivalents of these certificates to management as well as copies to the employees themselves.

Brenda we do miss you tremendously--you represented what was and is still the best team in the airline industry, and I for one, go out of my way to make management aware of this.

I wish you the best for the future, and please keep in touch with us!

Best wishes to you!
