Food for thought...
I got hit with the random us airways web page survey again last week for about the 12th time. I doubt that I'll get the miles -- I never seem to.
That survey strikes me as one of the worst designed ever (Randy's survey from a couple of weeks ago is tough to beat for missing the boat though...) How anyone thinks that they get anything meaningful or useful from some of these things is beyond me.
I've never been surveyed about anything else by US Airways. Never. I have no idea where Ben gets his twisted views of customer desires but it certainly isn't from actual customers...
Interestingly I got a survey today from United. It was reasonably well designed and thought out. They're considering offering MP members additional rewards and were looking for some feedback. There was only one screen that didn't let me answer truthfully (they wanted to know what I'd do if I could xfer miles in and out of MP -- the choices were way too limiting).
It's kind of too bad the US Airways can't take the time to put together some intelligent probing of these matters.
