Singapore - Passing through immigration multiple times at SIN

Is there any hassle at SIN when going through immigration multiple times (i.e., returning to the landside area after going airside. In FRA and most European airports this is no problem, but at ICN they told me you need an escort, etc. as you have already "left the country").

Also, how long before a flight will they allow you into the departures area (with boarding pass). The transit hotel will allow you in with a valid boarding pass the next day (or so I've heard) Is an online printed boarding pass OK? It should be seeing as this is a valid boarding document. Thanks.

There is a process for this; one time I had to go home after I had already cleared Immigration (in fact was sitting in the SATS lounge when I realized that there was something I had left behind and absolutely had to get). Basically I had to go to the duty officer (who is behind a counter that overlooks the departure side immigration desks) and explain my situation. I believe that Immigration essentially voided my departure. Having said that I don't know if there is an instance where the duty officer would refuse permission for someone to go back across to ground side. I should also mention that I live in Singapore and have PR thus it would be less likely that Immigration would give me a hard time on this.

My point: yes it is possible to go from air to ground side after legally leaving Singapore, and that there must be a process for it. However whether you would be able to do so easily or with difficulty is what I can't answer.

On your other question, best to let another FT'er respond, I don't have knowledge of this one.
