US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - US Status not showing on UA Reservation

Hello Everyone!

I'm a new US Silver Preferred member. I got the status over one week ago and it showed immediately online that my account was now Silver Preferred.

However, on an upcoming trip on UA, I changed the FF# to my US # and the status doesn't show yet....

I had them take it out and put it back in and it's still not showing.

Any idea when this would come through to their system?

That happened to me a few years back. It took a month for US to move it on my bookings for some reason. Not sure it is still done the same way. However, the T/A's computer had it right when checking in each time.

Just make sure you take your US Silver card to the airport if you're going to use the check-in line or ask for E+ just in case there are any questions.

Thanks everyone for the replies!

I called UA again today and had them take out and re-enter my US#.

It finally showed me as "Silver"!

I got my seats in E+ where available.

For what it's worth, there is usually a lag time for new status to take effect.

I am glad that UA could fix the problem for you.

Welcome to Preferred at US.. I am sure you'll love it. Their employees are the best in the business.

My coworker has been Gold for a while and had a UA flight in which they never could get her status to show up correctly -- UA told her she had no status at all, and US said all of the information was set up properly. Just a warning for those that might have problems.

On an upcoming UA flight (SFO-DEN RT), the agent was unable to put me into E+ seating even though my US status was showing up. After asking "What is US Gold?" she said that the system automatically put me into the back of the plane and she couldn't assign me E+ seats. She put a note into my reservation and said that I'd have to wait until I get to the gate. I'll try calling back next week.

The agent commented, "we're supposed to treat you US guys special but I don't really understand why". I tried to explain the advantages for UA for the codeshare but the agent didn't seem to care.

Call back and get another agent. That's what they do on the UA board. Apparently if you just keep calling you finally get one that does things the way you want.
