I would love to see someone get a board seat from here...Beckles (when he's in a good mood), Tom Bascom, or Clue, Geo, Piney Bob, Neworleans, dealmakur, nurse jane...or any 3 of you...Unite us,!Unite the Clans!!

I have no interest in that, especially since some would claim it is a conflict of interest since I am a founding member of a competing enterprise (although other founding members of the competing enterprise have in the past served on the board with Randy's full knowledge).

I'm flattered! But I think I am better suited to the fire breathing dragon dipped in sarcasm role I have hammered out for my self here and on usaviation.com.

Being on a "board" implies things like suits and actually having to be cordial and gracious to people I don't respect (airline execs).

But perhaps I'll throw my slightly soiled hat in the ring. Hope it doesn't come back soaked in questionable liquids.

I'm flattered.

That said, I preferred FT when Randy was the benevolent dictator. While I'm glad that he's delegated and shared some of that power to the community, I personally believe that we'd be better off with Randy running his own sandbox.

Since I also don't tolerate what I deem to be stupid behavior well, I'm sure the call would be coming for my resignation in short order.

My extra-curricular contribution to FT is and shall be serving on the US moderation team. I could always run and then resign my seat so that Randy would have to appoint a replacement, tho. That would be an interesting idea, although somewhat self-defeating from the US forum point of view unless he appoints someone else from the US forum...
