I just have a quick question about the website. I manage to buy tickets on the website most of the time. That is after figuring how to manipulate what I want from it. I believe only once have I recieved the online booking bonus. I have always held off from calling because of bonuses and things like that. But I was just wondering does this not regularly show up for others as well.

It takes several weeks for the 1000 mile bonus to show. The only time mine did not show was when they put my originating flight on Delta because my US flight was 40 minutes late and they were worried about me missing my connection - the last flight of the day.

I get it randomly.

Other family members that I've recently bought tickets for always seem to get it.

I have no idea why they have such a hard time crediting it to my account.

It used to not post if the name on your DM account doesn't exactly match the name on your travelocity profile. I fixed that in my profile long ago so it shouldn't be a problem for me.

Bonuses shouldn't be anything to worry about since they've "fixed" the system. A simple e-mail usually gets the missing miles posted. I usually wait a month or so though -- sometimes it takes them a while to post this particular bonus.

A data point here for comparison: US beats Delta all hollow. After buying a Delta r/t online in April, I tried calling them repeatedly to determine when the miles would post. In late June, the final answer -- after a series of promises & missed deadlines -- was "when you mail us copies of your flight coupon & BPs."

Gah! If ever you thought US had a monopoly on stupid actions calculated to antagonize customers, think again.
