US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Help /upgrading a NW flight with US miles

A friend is taking a trip of a lifetime, PHL-MSP-ANC-ENA via NW on a paid ticket. Does anyone have any ideas on how I might be able to upgrade his flights using my US miles. I'm CP if that would help in anyway.

I don't think upgrading was ever possible, and regular award travel is over in less than a month

You can not upgrade NW flights of any kind with US miles. Sorry.

I'm sure someone in the NW forum would consider a trade...before you go about asking, do you know how to check if the space is even available? Any flight to Alaska is hard to upgrade, especially at this time of the year. I'm sure NW would be willing to give you the PHL-MSP upgrade, though - for the same price, mileswise.
