Any way to do this? Would I actually have to be the person checking in, or would it suffice if I make the reservation under my name and at the end of the stay pay for everything with my CC?

You could book it under your name, contact the hotel that the room is for your parents and ask them to put all charges on your CC. (it would help if your CC info is in your profile, but you´d probably have to fax over a letter or something similar to confirm you´ll be taking care of all charges)

Officially there´s no way to make sure you´ll get stay credit, but it should work most of the time.

Some people have also just added a note in the comment box "xyz will be checking in on my behalf", which can work, but your parents would probably need to provide their CC

To ensure that you receive stay credit.. your FPC# must be on the folio prior to check out. After the fact, the program will not let you redesignate stay credit without approval.

Thanks, guys!

If I book the hotel in my parent's name (and they will check-in and pay upon check-out) but use my FPC #in that booking, will I get credited with the stay (surname will match, only name will be different)?

Unfortunately, you can´t add your FPC# to another person´s reservation.

The (old) FPC IT system won´t recognize your FPC# as it doesn´t match 100% with your name, so no (automatic) stay credit.

I´d recommend adding your parents in the comment box, would likely be the easiest way.

Officially, of course, you´re not entitled to any stay credit if you´re not staying in the room.

Book in your name and then call reservations and have them add your father's name to the booking. Tell them to note in the file that Dad is checking in first as you will be arriving on a later flight.
