I have been monitoring the availability of award travel on the HA website. I see many dates for coach saver availability for 20K miles from various airports in the mainland U.S. I only see the higher Flex First rewards for at 80K miles and no First saver awards at 40K.
Does HA ever offer the First Saver awards?
Thanks.

I've seen (and booked) first saver awards at 40K, but only one per flight (only seen when searching for 1 passenger.) If you search for 2, it jumps to 80K.
My wife and I actually considered booking our trip leaving from different airports (OAK-HNL-KOA and SJC-HNL-KOA) to get both at 40K before just booking them separately (one at 40K, one at 80K). This was for Christmas 2011 bookings.
I called them on the phone as well...same story, no way to get 2, at least not that time of year. Maybe the off season is different.

Thank you.
Actually I got very lucky. I could not find one on line, I believe it was set for 2, but when I called I was able to get two seats. I was checking the availability on HA, but I was using AA miles with AA. I was interested because I already had to HNL to SYD portion of my flight on hold. So I was able to fly in First/Business from LAX to HNL to SYD for 62.5K miles and I was pleased with the result.

Thanks for the info... it seems like they've really ratcheted down the number of First Class Saver fares, but it sounds like the best bet is to call and have the agent hunt for flights. I used to get these saver fares regularly.
Compared to other airlines "Saver" mileage fares, it seems that Hawaiian is slightly overpriced. Alaska's super saver first is 75,000 miles for round trip and for Full Flex First its 150,000 miles.

Follow up question on HA flights using AA miles. Are the Savers miles the only option with AA miles? Or can you pay double miles and fly with the Anytime award?

I've book 2 first saver awards before. In fact, have some coming up in June. Booked these in December.
