Are there any good, free coupon guides I can get through postal mail? Looks like even the official las vegas tourism bureau only offers a PDF of its guide online. I saw no links for getting one mailed to me. Strange.

Guess the answer is no.

So what are the best web sites for coupons? I've heard of a subscription-based newsletter called the Las Vegas Advisor. But that seems antiquated in the Internet age. Surely someone provides the same info for free and earns money via advertisers.

What blogs or web sites can I follow for casino / meal / etc coupons and other offers?

ACG and LVA coupon books provide decent value (to cover their cost), if you are into that sort of thing (which I am not).

Livingsocial and Groupon also provide lots of deals for Las Vegas, though you will have check for those daily.

Is the "Entertainment" brand coupon book for Las Vegas worth purchasing? I've only purchased one of these for my local area when they've been offered for a 50% discount some time mid-year. Would one of these be useful for a South/Mid Strip stay, or are most of the deals for downtown / off-strip venues?

Any by the way, is mid-May considered "off season" in Vegas? If there's any such thing as an off or mid-season in Vegas. So far as I can tell, there aren't any major conventions in town when I'll be there (~5/13 to ~5/19). And conventions seem to be one driver for higher "seasonal" prices.

Also wondering if Restaurant.com offers coupons for any notable restaurants or buffets in Vegas.

While not "free", I see that Restaurant.com offers a lot of meal certificates for purchase, with many in particular at Mandalay Bay (5-6 if I recall correctly). Guess MB is so far down the strip that they engage in more "promotional" gimmicks? Saw lots of off-strip casino restaurants on Restaurant.com. Also saw Top of the World in there (Stratosphere). Again, perhaps because it's at the other extreme end of the Strip.
