US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-2005 America West merger) - Newark-Amsterdam $293 with tax in June

This fare was posted this am - it seems designed to torture the international agents. After a long call this am, with repeated consultations with fare dept, was told it was sold out for entire month. A call this evening found a number of days available, but again with much effort by agent. Seems there is one US Exp flight each day between EWR/PHL, so you leave EWR at around 8am, but lay over in PHL for 12 hours; on return you lay over in PHL for 6.5 hours, and back into EWR at almost 11pm. Might work for some people in the area; or if you are from Philly or have friends there, come back w/o checked bags and do not return to EWR. This fare was contrived to say they were matching CO.
I would get double miles, but a tough call whether to try it from DC. Otherwise one is looking at neighborhood of $800 + tax over the summer.

Also is good out of LGA.

How did you ascertain the availability through LGA? It is not listed in the routing in the fare rule, nor available according the agent.

Another match of SQ's EWR-AMS fare (CO has matched too).

Use NYC and AMS as the city pairs...also can use NYC and FRA...fare comes up as $204 on usairways.com What I've done in the past is go ahead and book whatever flights I want, regardless of the price (as long as V inventory is available on those flights) then call and have rates override the pricing and manually price it at the fare code I give to the agent.
Actually...this fare is only valid for travel both ways on MON TUE WED and SAT. The SQ fare, while NON-MILEAGE ACCRUABLE, is valid any day of the week...
