I guess I will get the chance to try another one of US "better ideas on Saturday."

I couldn't get a non stop at a good price so I fly from here to DC and then to MCO. When I questioned why I wasn't upgraded on that flight she put me on hold for several minutes. Then came back to tell me that there isn't a first class cabin.

I guess I will check on Friday for how full the earlier non stop is on Saturday and stand by. If I am going to be in the back of the bus I would like to fly directly to MCO.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Those one-cabin Shuttles are really quite comfortable. Plenty of legroom. What's the big deal?

It's not a big deal. First I was reporting my experience. Second I would prefer a non stop. I will stand by on Saturday.

Even the agent was surprised by the answer.

It was a big enough deal for me on a recent flight out of MCO that I switched (before buying the ticket for the same fare) from a one-class Airbus to the 767 into CLT. Even for 1.5 hours the Envoy seats are nice. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Hopefully this isn't a problem for safetymom, but it is for me. Shoulder room is no better on the shuttle than any other coach flight, and that makes a big difference. I'll deal with it for a nonstop, but if I'm forced into a connection I don't feel so good about it.

If it's a shuttle A319, go for seat 10A. There is no seat ahead of it, it's an exit row, and the legroom is infinite.

Of course you will have to put all your carryon's overhead, but you'd have to do that in a bulkhead also.
