I asked an FA the other day if he knew the protocol regarding the presence of green limes on US flights. He said that he had just asked about it. Seems that limes are to be loaded by catering whenever meals are served in F. If it's the snack basket, no limes. Of course, YMMV.
In recognition of this gentleman's service to mankind, a stirring (of my gin and tonic with a green lime) and moving (425 Knots IAS) ceremony was performed in the front galley over the Atlantic Ocean. He was awarded the appropriate pin and membership in the Royal Order Assisting Cochroaches, Honorific (ROACH).

Bwhahahahaha. I love it. ROACH! I wish they had some good whisky in first. But since summer is approaching (based on the date if not the weather) gin and tonics will work. I had Singleton on BA once in coach, but they understand better than American carriers who dont typically have premium whisky.

On my flights from GSO to CLT, I carry a few limes with me and give them to the FA. They cut them prior to take off. The bottom line is....you can be part of the problem or you can be part of the solution.
