I had a recent stay at the Fairmont Washington, DC (which I'll have to get around to posting about.. had quite the unimpressive time there) and noticed that none of the duvets had duvet covers on them but simply an extra bed sheet on top/below it. I pulled the covering sheet up accidentally and realized it was on there as a faux-duvet cover.
Is this standard across Fairmont or just a Fairmont DC thing? I don't recall noticing it at any other properties and it just struck me as a bit odd. I was in a couple of different rooms and it was the case in both.
