This book came in the mail today from the Pacific Rim. I suspect it may be gift overstock from the Pac Rim's grand opening and 2010 Olympic promotions, but was very nice to receive.

Wondering who is receiving these? I would guess FPC members who have stayed at the property lately and who live in Canada. Regardless, a very nice gift and thumbs up to Fairmont.

+1 on that, welcome to FlyerTalk Randy. Always nice to see company folks on here (especially from such a nice property).
Great to have hotel presence on FT! Particularly Randy who contributed to a memorable stay at this property (you can check out my April 2010 review on the VPR thread).

+3 on the welcome to this corner of FT, Randy, as it says lots about how engaged Fairmont is with it's customers. ^

Welcome Randy
Received mine this week.
I haven't received my 2011 Fairmont package yet so was mildly disappointed to see it was a Pacific Rim promotion (no offense intended).
I'm a Fairmont Vancouver gal ... having had an unresolvable issue with the Waterfront, and just gotta love the dogs at the Vancouver ... but the Pacific is closer to the office. Unfortunately, the Pacific opened after our corporate rates were determined ... Hopefully I'll be able to give it a try in 2011.

I have nothing but great things to say about Fairmont's customer service with respect to issue resolution. While I had issues with the Waterfront in Vancouver, their head office did everything they could to try to resolve the issue. Unfortunately it was past the point of no return for the Waterfront, specifically, but I have been more than loyal to the Fairmont chain since then. I had spectacular service from the Palliser in Calgary and from their main customer service office in Toronto. I would say that they have gone above and beyond for me.

Just got the book today. Nicely done. I have stayed in various Vancouver Fairmonts several times lat year but never at the Pacific Rim as it was not yet opened. Hopefully, I will have a chance someday soon.
Thanks for joining our corner of the interweb, Randy! ^

Finally received the book. ;)
Must say they did a pretty good job. Some nice photographs of the architecture, some interesting pages about the history of Fairmont/CPR and some info about the spa/restaurants/etc. at the Pacific Rim.
