Travel Tools - TripIt vs Worldmate
Could not find a compare on the two services. I have used Worldmate for a couple years now and have been happy with it. I am coming up on my renewal. Today I use a BB but will also have an Android phone in the next 6 months. Any advice on which service is better or has more feature?

For your BB try Blackberry Travel, it is basically Worldmate but redesigned, looks good and is free from Blackberry and it includes many of the features that had to be paid for with Worldmate.

Neither are perfect. I have used both and have both on my iPhone. I get TripIt free through my AMEX Platinum card and already had Worldmate Gold. TripIt is better at trip management and I like the feature to automatically add items. Worldmate has better tools for searching for flights and little things like a currency converter. I'm letting TripIt manage all of my travel right now but if I had to pick just one I'd probably go with Worldmate due to the extra features. I think both of them are quite good though.

Try tripcase. It works quite good.

I used Worldmate for years but now use TripIt (and upgraded to Pro).
Liked both but overall, I am happier with TripIt. Just prefer pricing and interface, etc.

from my experience platform matters. on bb Worldmate - much cleaner interface, on android tripit as there is no WM pro on droid so no embedded alternate flight search which tripit pro has(although I wish tripit would make the default alt flight search all day - for some reason they think the only alt flight I would be interested in is later than scheduled - in fact, most of the time I am looking to move earlier as my reservations tend to have "safety time" built in).
tripit server side on all platforms better on auto import and also publishing iCal feed (great for gmail trip calendar). one thing that drove me batty with TripIt was it's insane desire to add gazillions of entries to the schedule (map to hotel, check out times - which it makes up...) Someone on FT mentioned how to turn it off and that makes it much better - my preference is just transportation and housing on the agenda for travel. keep it clean so I don't have to hunt for what I want.
Right now I have both on my Droid Incredible but TripIt is my go to.

Long time WM user. BUT, I am getting a Windows 8 phone next week & am considering switching to Trip It (My Trips paid app) & am VERY curious if anyone has done an apples to apples comparision as yet???

Four of the last five items I forwarded to Tripit could not be read even though all were supposed to be supported. Three of them were Hilton Hotels which are not exactly obscure properties.
Switched to kayak trips.

I like TripIt for the functionality with pro that allows me to track my FF points and also the texts I get overseas letting me know about delays, gate changes etc.
I don't really like the mobile interface, but I use FlightTrack Pro to sync my flights with TripIt. I found FlightTrack to have a much nicer interface so between those two on my iPhone I'm set!
