Las Vegas - Wynn / Encore - Distance to Palazzo Conf Center

Quick question to the LV regulars.
I have a conference in March that is in the Palazzo conference center. Rates are MUCH better at the Wynn & Encore so I was considering that to save the company some money (Close to $100 / night x 2 people). I'm pretty sure from what I remember the walk from the Wynn wouldn't be bad to the Palazzo conf center, but how about Encore. I am booked at the Encore now because its actually less expensive and have a resort credit, but should I consider switching to the Wynn. Encore is about $100 a night with a $100 resort credit for a 3 night stay. Palazzo is $189 a night.
Thanks all!

Hi,
It is probably a good 10-15 minute walk from your room through the Encore and through the promenade to the Wynn and to the street escalators to take you to the palazzo)
-It is a surprisingly long way. (But I did enjoy the Encore as a hotel)

Thanks. If I was in the Wynn itself, is it much shorter? Thanks.

About 5 minutes shorter, maybe 10 minutes if you are counting from your room and down the elevator. The Encore and Wynn are connected. I personally don't think it is much difference but if that extra walking and extra time are important to you than you might want to consider switching. IMO, keep whatcha got.
BTW, you got a great rate. What dates are you going?

March 29-April 1st... Its still available via Orbitz now. Quite a deal!
I would say 10 minute advantage to Wynn vs Encore
Its pretty easy to head over to Palazzo from Wynn Casino floor, but not sure how far the Palazzo shops door is to the conference area. Probably not so close.
But if you have Encore for a firm $100.00 a night with the 33.33$ daily credit that is the best deal of 2011 I have seen so far for Wynncore

I just checked Orbitz and the resort credit is not included. Still a great rate though. Valid for 3 night stays and good until April 1st. It has me thinking....

It still shows for me. Avg for 3 nights is $103.58 and $100 Resort Credit included. March 29 - Apr 1 - Resort Suite King

You are correct. I misspoke. The resort credit is included. What I meant to say, but my head doesn't think as fast as my fingers type, is that the resort FEE is not included. So it would be another $60($20 dailyx3) payable directly to the hotel. Even still, that is by far the best price I have seen at the Wynn or Encore in a while. Great find. I personally thank you as I think I am going to book it today as well. Just waiting on my wife to make sure her schedule is clear.
It's still a bit of a haul from the entrance to the Palazzo to get back to the sands expo. You have to go through Palazzo, then through part of the mall between Palazzo and Venetian before you get to Sands.

Having stayed at both properties a few times, it looks like it is about 0.2 miles difference between the Wynn and Encore to the Sand's Expo Center per Google Earth.

The conference center is in between the Venetian and Palazzo parts of the resort. On the casino level, it's behind where the Delmonico's and AquaKnox restaurants are. On the shopping level, it's behind St. Mark's square. So add a few minutes from actually walking into the Palazzo.
And it's a huge facility, so could be another 5-10 minutes to the actual conference room/ballroom.
Walking anywhere in Vegas always seems to take longer than you think. I would say 20 minutes to the conference center from Wynn, and 25 from Encore. Of course even if you were staying at the Venetian/Palazzo it would take you 10-15 minutes from your room.

I plotted it on gmaps-pedometer and it's at least double that when you actually walk through the hallways. I'm very familiar with the route.
