Chicago - Mana Food Bar in CHicago. Just tried it, and was awed!

Small tapas-style vegetarian plates. But you'd never be aware that this is vegetarian - there is no "fake meat" anything. Extremely flavorful and delicious. www.manafoodbar.com

Bar on site, too.

The only downside is that the place is small so you have to come before 7pm if you don't want to wait for a table. But it will be worth your while.

I love this place, and it's walking distance from home to boot!

I like this area. I think Division between (about) Ashland and Western has some good restaurants and fun bars.

My bf's place is right around the corner from Mana. We don't go there nearly often enough.

And yes, the neighborhood is great. Some places in the vicinity that I love:

Jerry's Sandwiches
Crust
Mexique
People
Hot Chocolate
Bluebird
Bin Wine Cafe

The list goes on...

The only other restaurant I like as much as Mana Food Bar is Green Zebra. Just great food. www.GreenZebraChicago.com
