Russia - Crowne Plaza WTC or MarriotTverskaya, 341st tverskaya ??

Hi Folks,

I have a trip to moscow in the next 2 weeks and both the below hotels are relatively nearer to by client office and has acceptable corporate rates for the period I am looking for ..

Which one would u suggest :

Crowne Plaza World Trade Center or Marriot Tverskaya, 34 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya .

I will be having multiple trips to Moscow in the coming months of 4-5 days each timeif this makes any difference..

Solicit your advise..

Marriott has a much more central location and is walking distance to the metro and other tourist sites. Crowne Plaza is next to the river but its location is worse. Take the Marriott.

I'll second what Lewinr said - unless you're coming for business and the office you'll be visiting is near the Crowne Plaza, I'd go for the Marriott Tverskaya.

thanks for ur advises.. then I will go ahead and book Marriot tverskaya for the 1st trip..
will plan to stay at CP sometime though as need to maintain plat status there too for this year ;)

So now 2 weeks have passed and so have 2 trips..
1st trip - stayed at Marriot tverskaya -- quite central location, decent hotel , was upgraded to the junior suite ^ .. only problem is the perennial traffic jams in tverskaya street and hence I now always take the metro :)

2nd trip - Crown Plaza WTC -- location a bit outside, metro stations about 1km away so a walk is needed.. locality is nothing great to speak about.. But hotel is quite good with indoor swimming pool, upgraded to a suite ^ and as my office is in smolenskaya found that line 4 is a direct line there from vystavochanaya, so its not so bad..

Anyway, next few stays is Marriot since they give free bfast and thts super ^
