Is is possible to ask to be signed up in the Chairman's challenge?
I am contemplating doing more flying with US and would like to try go for CP.
Your thoughts & experience would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes. I am currently in the challenge and wasn't targeted. I can tell you that they looked at my history last year and said since i flew over 50k, but less then 100k that was why I was eligible. always worth asking.

I did a search and could not find a reply for this; what are the details of the chairman's challenge? Anyone have information on what miles count to what et. al?
The current Chairmen's challenge that I'm signed up for is 20K miles or 20 segments between 4/1 and 6/30. Which I guess is a little off of the pace that would normally get you Charmen's for next year.
The status is only good through the end of the year - to keep it for next year you have to earn it this year.
All segments must be on US metal (though I was told that booking US metal through the UA codeshare was acceptable).
I have 15 segments booked so far through the middle of May, so I'm well on track to make it.

My experience last year was that you have to be Gold or a targeted CP who has not flown enough during the year.
I sweet talked an agent to let me sign up for the promotion as Silver, but after completing the segments they reneged and gave me Gold.

If you are an AA Platinum member why don't you ask for complimentary status? Although AA won't comp for us US1's.
Anyone ever get a comped status with NW or CO?
