US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Bank of America Visa Preferred Miles
My final tally for 2002 was $24,908.89, with payments of $25,275.33. I did not receive the 10K preferred mile bonus. Does either BoA or US Airways offer any leeway on this bonus? I don't even know who to call.
Or am I lit outa shuck.

Call BOA customer service at 1.800.583.1820 and explain your situation and see what happens. If they do not cooperate, threaten to cancel the card unless the situation is resolved to your satisfaction.

Actually, I think it's DM service center to call. I went over $25000 in December, but I didn't see the miles added in to my account. When I called BofA customer service, they referred me to DM. BofA simply feeds the data to US; DM does the posting. So I'm not sure threatening BofA is going to help.
When I called the CP line, they saw that I had indeed gone over in December, and they posted with my excess 2002 (over 100,000) miles I got in March.
Let us know what happens.
Out of curiousity, does your BOA Visa have your DM number on the bottom? I just got mine and it doesn't-- but other credit card companies have screwed this up for me in the past, resulting in the creation of multiple frequent flyer accounts.
Before I have to call and yell at someone, I figured I'd ask..

BOA is the one you have to talk to about getting the 10,000 preferred miles because it is their card and their conditions to award the preferred miles. Technically, the card holder did not spend $25,000, but I'm sure exceptions are allowed. U would love to award the 10,000 preferred miles because BOA would have to pay for that privilege.
BOA and DM have an agreement to be able to share info about the card holder, which allows among other things, for the miles that BOA purchases from U to be credited to our account. So, you are correct in that the DM service center would ultimately be the place to award the preferred miles, but not in granting the exception, for not meeting the $25,000 spent.

My BOA DM Plat Visa does not have my DM number on the card. If you did not specify your frequent flyer number when requesting the card, they could very well establish a new account for you.
Sorry, folks. I didn't have my facts straight. I had a $4,000 cash advance buried in the total that I forgot about. Cash advances aren't eligible for miles, so I wasn't even close.
