Hmm...
What I can tell you:
The chart doesn't lie,that's what you pay and nothing more or less.
Fuel surcharges can add up; I was quoted almost $1k for a Skyteam RTW in Y in addition to the miles.
I've never been able to mix and match airlines on an award booking(ie: I wanted to take DL to HNL, KE to ICN and back, it was shot down)
I've been using the same number for years for bookings(from the area code it sounds like they're from the LAX office) and the ladies always have been super helpful and have come up with some cool routings to get me places.
I don't how good CZ availability is.

If I were you, I will keep that 60k for future....domestic China flight is cheap, so you just can afford it!

Any interesting places KA Skypesos can go for 60,000k?

The only one mildly interesting that I see is Europe-NA for 50,000 in Y. Now unless I can buy miles from KA at a very good rate it is unlikely I will have any more or that much more miles to redeem any time in the future.

I called trying to make a booking on CZ. Complete headache. Was told a coach ticket is 40,000. Argued it was 20,000. Put on hold twice. Told I was correct. Was told CZ does not fly to Hong Kong from CAN only Cathay Pacific does and KA is not partnered with them. Was told they can not search flights by flight number. Went to book the flight only to CAN and was told it will be 40,000.... argued again.... put on hold... line drops.

... is wrong with KA? KA should outsource to Pune like BMI. Far more competent than nice American ladies in Los Angeles being paid a legal wage.
