So, a bunch of Europeans are going to South Florida, and they want the whole American experience.
Breakfast at a good diner, the best burgers in town for lunch and an authentic Cuban place for dinner.

Where do they go?

Breakfast
Big Pink - Great diner style place in South Beach. Portions which are excessive even by American standards, so probably what you are looking for.

Burgers
8 oz Burger Bar - Burger Place on South Beach.
Burger and Beer Joint - Burger place with one location in South Beach, one downtown. Good beer list, maybe 100 different beers. Downtown location is maybe a 10 minute walk from the Courtyard Marriott, so an easy walk back after a burger and one too many Chimays.

Both places make excellent burgers with plenty of options, though a little on the pricey side. Upscale burger places are something of a trend in the US these days.

Cuban
La Carreta - On Calle Ocho in Little Havana. Cuban cuisine is pretty straightforward so really can't go wrong wherever you end up eating. La Carreta on Calle Ocho is my personal, favorite, though Versailles which is across the street from it is more famous. Las Culebrinas on Flagler St. is good as well.

You should be able to find menus for all of the above with a little googling.

Safe travels

I suggest you also consider Villa Habana on 3398 Coral Way in Miami. (305) 446-7427. Or, Casa Larios in South Miami. I find the food much better at either location than La Carreta. You can eat their food at MIA.

Since the OP stated "South Florida", and since the travelers might come up to broward County to shop, etc, there are some additional recommendations:

Diner: Unlike Big Pink (which I like, but which is more "diner-inspired" than a true diner, Lester's Diner, in central Ft. Lauderdale near the FLL airport, is very much a classic 24-hour American diner in design/decor, menu offerings, and most importantly, in the service by a group no-nonsense but still friendly and hard-working waitresses. If you're there for breakfast or lunch, ask to sit in Georgina's station: she's the best!

Burger: Le Tub, near the Hollywood beachfront (about two miles north of the Westin Diplomat, on the same road as the hotel. A very casual, waterside saloon that also serves food, including burgers that have won national awards. Friendly service:

Cuban: I'll second Casa Larios; in addition to the South Miami location, they also have a second location near the intersection of Flagler Drive and the Palmetto Expreessway, which is not too far from the MIA airport. Both food and atmosphere are good at the Flagler location (I have not been to the other location).

I make sure to catch Latin Burger every now and then; they're a "gastro-truck" (I just made that term up), so you basically have to follow them on Twitter or Facebook to know where they are at any given time. http://latinburger.com/

Second Lesters and definitely Le Tub for the best burgers in the world. Just be sure at Le Tub that you save room for their amazing key lime pie. When we went there the waitress said ever since the place was featured on Oprah people stop there on the way to the airport figuring they can stop in and get a burger to go. The waitress said no way that each burger is cooked to order and when you say they are large they are huge. Best burger I ever had and fun location. Very, very casual.

Ah, yes. I haven't ate at Cuban restaurant for a long time. Does the meals is good or bad? I wasn't sure that I will try to have a dinners in South Florida. I did not have a chance go out a nice Cuban restaurant for a long time. I'm sure if I have one in PHX. I will try to find one.

A little feedback:
We visited Big Pink several times for breakfast and lunch, it is a great place. We also went to 11th Street Diner and Front Porch Cafe in South Beach, both are also recommendable.
Burger and Beer Joint is awesome! I wish we tried it earlier and not on our last day, the burgers are top notch, the beer selection amazing (I always end up drinking German beers).

Another very good burger place was Square 1 in Tampa!

Le Tub in FLL was a little bit too basic for my taste, the food was good though.

I agree that Le Tub is very good. I don't see it as the "best" with all the raves it gets, but it is a delicious burger. I know many other great burgers up the coast, but all 30-45 minutes north of Miami.

For Cuban cuisine, check out Larios on the Beach (I don't think it's related to the aforementioned ones) - Ocean Drive/A1A in South Beach. It's connected to Bongo's (they also just opened one of these at the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood) - owned by Gloria Estefan, and quite delicious.

I just had lunch at Larios on the Beach. Not bad, but not great either. Still it is better than most of the restaurants on that part of Ocean.
