I know that this is not truly a TalkBoard issue but as we have no "Only SanDiego1K" forum I know of no other place to ask this question.

For several years I have bought Inside Flyer subscriptions because it offered me an ad-free version of FT. At $12 per year it is well worth the price.

I prefer it to having downloading an ad-blocker because I often find myself on public computers and the ad free version is with me no matter where I log in.

Obviously, in the past week or so there has been a major change in the relationship between IB and Randy (who publishes Inside Flyer). I can't imagine either of them taking away my ad free access while my current subscription is still active, but what will happen when it runs out?

Will a renewal give me another year of ad-free FT? Will there be another way to purchase it? Or will I find myself sitting a public terminals waiting for FT to load while covered with numerous ads?

Hi Dovster -

This is a really good question for IB. I will draw their attention to it. You are correct in that you can no longer extend your ad free time by subscribing to Inside Flyer. I've asked IB for an alternative.

We are currently in the process of reforming premium subscriptions. In the meantime we are still honoring the ad free experience on FT with a subscription to Inside Flyer.

For how long? Why was there no notification of this change to FTers?

There hasn't been any change yet. The functionality is exactly the same as it has always been. Before it changes FTers will certainly be notified.
