Brazil - AirBnB for Rio?

Anyone used Airbnb.com (short-term apartment rental) for a stay in Rio? It works extremely well for a place like NYC, but there are fewer listings and most of them have no reviews in Rio. I can't tell if they are fake listings, or if the owners try to circumvent the fee system after initial contact, or what.

I do not know them. There are a number of reputable Rio apartment rental agencies. Within a short time I hope some of the denizens of the Forum will reply, three or four of whom use rental apartments regularly.
