Yes, sadly the old seating. Tired but in pretty good order. It's an early day flight though, so no real issue. In fact I did this in December & managed to sleep the whole way - mind you I had come from a long-haul & not slept.

well that's unfortunate...i wish TG would update their interiors on these old aircrafts :(

It's actually OK - plenty of legroom - 50 inch pitch/20 inch wide. Good breakfast service on the HKG-HKT sector, c/w champagne. It's not too shabby for under 3 hours :)

I suppose its not bad. I'm planning a mini-RTW trip in F. I think it might be better to fly to BKK in C and connect on a 744 to HKG in F. :)

Considering it's just a 1 hour domestic flight, it's an excellent Business Class seat IMO.

on a related subject we've booked TG from BKK to CMB and return and the equipment is A300 it seems an ancient piece of kit I guess the Biz seats are equally decrepit? The TG website shows a 38 inch pitch. The aircraft appears to be the same as TG domestic Biz. Are we wasting our hard earned points on TG's geriatric offering?

It is a 38 inch pitch on these - old indeed but in quite good order. If a day flight it's fine. Otherwise....:eek:

fraid it is otherwise... but no other easy *A way there? Cathay Pacific fly BKK CMB but it would burn an immense number of my BA miles and revenue fares are pretty steep, might check Air Asia ex KUL when their winter schedule is on sale. After this weeks good news re Smiles no More (for now anyway) not sure I want to burn 30k cash + miles on this one. Anyone have any other suggestions?

I took this flight on January 21st as part of aStar Alliance RTW ticket. . There was plenty of room between the rows in C Class and the food was not bad at all. It seemed like we got there in no time. There was also in-flight entertainment available. A much better experience that the Dragonair non-stop fllight which I have taken a few times as well.
