Heard the message after finally getting into the 1-800 reservations queue.
The recording says it's only valid for flights booked "today".... but it may be worth bookmarking the link. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

I don't think it gives you any more discount than the "regular" web process. I walked all the way thru until the final "button" to bill my CC via that link, and got the same price on several future trips as I did by just using the website in a "normal" fashion.
Just for grins, I called the CP desk and had them fare a hypothetical future trip, and then fared it on the web, and the difference (Before taxes) was 5%, almost to the penny.

Yep, I priced this on online for LGA-DCA flights and it sorta worked because the usual is $116 with taxes and lower-priced fares came out to $111.

Well, I hope it works for a few of you.

Has anyone tried to use this link recently? I got an error message saying the "page does not exist or has been moved" though I accessed it last week. Thoughts?

It was there yesterday - but gone today. I guess the wait times got better. I haven't called recently - but it was b/c phone wait times were so long.

Never fear...
After yet another long wait on hold yesterday I was directed to:

Still is up today.
Let's try to stay ahead of the usairways.com lurkers, who are surely monitoring the board after everyone Getting Out More... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
What's strange is, yesterday when I was booking tickets that need a special fare class, I couldn't do it online. When I called, that message played and no sooner than it was over someone picked up. So the hold time really was no more than 30 seconds. Maybe I just got lucky.

No Waiting at usairways.com
Thank you for your patience. Due to extended telephone wait times, a 5 percent discount will be applied to most fares.

I imagine that's just an easier (i.e., shorter) URL for people to write down or remember. Believe it or not, I'm guessing the change was driven by a desire to improve customer satisfaction. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
