Hi guys,
I just bought this Groupon-like deal that gives 50% off of Travelocity's hotel bookings...
https://pipeline.businessinsider.com/
It expires Tuesday evening. Did I make a mistake in buying it?
Cheers!

Some more details from the site:
# Expires on February 09, 2012
# Reservation must be booked at www.travelocityincentives.com (not travelocity.com);
# Minimum pre-tax package spend of $250 required.
# Two-night minimum reservation required.
# Limit one code per reservation.
Looks like you have a year to use it, rather than it expiring tonight. The deal is only available through tonight, if that's what you meant.

$50 off $100 with a minimum spend of $250 does not equate to 50% off.

Yeah, it seems like the "mistake" the original poster made was in computing his or her discount. :)
At best, you're getting $50 off a $250 purchase. Nor horrible, but somewhat of a yawner.
BTW, what is pipeline (just how many groupon copycats are there? :)), and what is travelocity incentives (same prices as travelocity)?

Welcome to FlyerTalk, David. Just one terminology note in your title: rack rates are the highest rate a hotel charges (these are the $400/night rates you see posted on the back of the door in most states).

what a terrible deal. A co-worker asked me about it and it took me 10 seconds to find the minimum $$$. Probably the worst deal I have seen in a while

This is a really bad deal. Can only use 1 voucher in a transaction. So 50$ off an overpriced 2-day 250$ min booking. Max 20% off if you get something worth 250.
