Hi Everybody,

My wife & I are AS parents and are thinking about traveling Icelandair from Orlando Sanford Arpt (SFB) to Reykjavik, IS (KEF). Does anyone know how easy it will be to get on these flights during the summer?

Is there any way non-Icelandair employees, such as us, can check flight loads in advance?

Thanks for any advice you can give!

Vic

Hi Orlando Vic,

As we have a dedicate Scandinavia forum, I'm going to move this thread over here. It may also fit in 'Other European FFPs', but I see there's a few FI regulars in Scandinavia, so let's give that a try first.

Best of luck

First of all IIRC FI (Icelandair) does not fly to Orlando during summer. I believe the route is seasonal only - and flights are suspended from May to September - again IIRC.

Your alternatives are FI from JFK, IAD or BOS.

Alternatively DL will commence flights from JFK to KEF starting this summer.

Loads can be checked on Expertflyer or KVS availability tool - both require a subscription. Alternatively www.flightstats.com

Thanks, OFFlyer. I am afraid you are right. However, I don't understand the logic of suspending these flights to/from Florida during the summer when most of us would love to travel to a cooler, less humid location.
