Practical Travel Safety Issues - Body scanner makers doubled lobbying cash

The sex assaults are intended to get pax to use ths scanners, the scanners are there because of the money. If they don't detect explosives in body cavities and the old x-ray and metal detector were as good as the scanners in finding weapons, there was no need for the scanners. It's al about money and with the TSA power.

And some wondered why I brought up creating a PAC and hiring lobbyists in other threads...this is how DC works. I know, I did it myself. You must have the money, and the PAC (or company, large group, etc) to back it.

This is the status quo in American government today. Most adults have every reason to know it and still vote in the people who have their hands out. The courts have held that buying the government is legal, but it has never become compulsory to vote for crooked politicians. Yet, when someone comes along who DOESN'T believe in this routine, hardly any Americans will vote for them. In essence, voters are telling the crooks "we prefer crooks over extremists who will refuse bribes". With that kind of reinforcement, why expect the crooks to do anything else?
