SEA ATL BNA ATL SEA, overnight start with next day return for $225 and 5360 miles for 4.2cpm. Not the best MR, but not bad. Sample date 3/1 overnight, return 3/2.

Damn tempting.

Would be even more tempting if the DMQM promo still was available out of BNA! :)

If you don't mind AS codes, 6 segments and 6334 EQM can be had for $229 (3.6 cpm)

I'm not sure how the fare rules apply and if this is possible or not... but maybe someone can help.

I can get a BNA/ATL/SEA rt flight for less than $220 ai flying out 2/15 and returning 2/16. When I opened up and looked at all the flight options on delta.com, I see that a BNA/ATL/LAX/SEA flight available.

I'm looking to make this a MR so want to maximize my miles as much as possible. Is there any reason I wouldn't be able to SDC onto the BNA/ATL/LAX/SEA flight? And it looks like the LAX/SEA leg is on Alaska Airlines. Do they give complimentary upgrades to Delta Medallion members?

Thanks for your help!

Can't SDC onto another airline, regardless of code. If you could somehow book the trip including the LAX-SEA segment you would be eligible for an upgrade but only after all Alaska elites.

I'm not sure this is true. You can absolutely SDC *from* another airline carrying a DL-coded flight so there's no reason why you can't SDC *to* another airline carrying the DL code.

I have frequently SDC'd from DL-coded/AS-operated flights and DL never questions it. In theory you should be able to go the other way because DL is making revenue on the flight as it's DL-coded.

That's what I was thinking too. I'll find out when I try to do it but will have some backups in case it doesn't work I guess.

I'm a noob at this sort of thing. Can you tell me (or even help me figure out) how to build that routing, if it still exists? I got a 6-segment routing by putting "DL,AS DL,AS DL,AS" into matrix.itasoftware.com for $228, but that's stopping in PDX & ATL, which is only 5020 MQMs total.

How do I get to 6334?

Thanks ... seriously thinking of taking this to lock up Gold.

Oh and also ... if you don't care about the extra segments, the original flight can be had for $210-219 now depending on connection.

That routing, 500 mile minimums on 4 segments. ;)

D'OH!

(When I looked at routings on Kayak I would notice the short segments and adjust, but for some reason Kayak can't find that route so I had to look on AS, where it just tosses out "Total: 2,510 mi · 10 hr 40 min" and I didn't think about the fact that the two short segments were in there. Thanks for the gentle hint)
