Virgin America Elevate - How does VX not have a mobile site?

Does anyone else find it ridiculous that VX, for all its tech-forward and customer-friendly image, does not have a mobile version of VirginAmerica.com? The full site was down for maintenance last night and I had hoped that there would be some kind of substantive upgrade in the works, such as the addition of a mobile site. Alas, that was not the case.

This article (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/03/02/virgin_america_html_flash/) and this article (http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/190700/virgin_america_ditches_flash_on_its_site.html) from nearly a year ago hinted that mobile boarding passes and other mobile capabilities were in the works. So far, crickets. Yes, one can use the full site. But it's slow and clunky on my BlackBerry and I would not attempt to do more than check flight status with it. (I can't even get the flight detail page to load. It stays stuck in the Loading pop-up message.)

Come on, VX, get with the times. Even the IT nightmare that is UA has you bested in this department. :td:

rocky's latest interview with Cush (http://venturebeat.com/2012/11/16/virgin-america-ceo-navigates-turbulent-skies/) brought the news that VX finally has a mobile site. Sure enough, I just went to http://m.virginamerica.com/ and it works. ^

a mobile app with the ability to pull up a mobile boarding pass (which even AA and United do) would be way better.

Having the option to book flights would be a great addition as well

Cush stated in the interview that a real app is on the way.

I've used the mobile website. Thankfully, at the bottom of the page it gives the option to use the full website on your mobile, where you can do many things you cannot do on the mobile website.

Mobile site now supports mobile boarding pass. Was able to check-in and access mobile boarding pass on Monday (11/26).

However, the site requires an awkward serious of steps to re-access the mobile boarding pass. I ended up taking an iphone screenshot and using that to scan at the TSA checkpoint.
