US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Trying to Help with Revenue Enhancement

Several times a year, I have to fly on Y-fare tickets (insert un-cockroach joke here) and three of those trips are coming up in January. Not only is US no longer flying those routes non-stop, but I can not get a fare for those city pairs.

My next thought was to spend a couple of extra hours going through a hub and nest some tickets so that I can fly on our favorite airline.

The results? Total cost is 8 times WN's fare and double what AA and DL charge. This is reason number one that I do not believe the company is serious about us, our business or increasing revenue.

Now we see the third public threat of liquidation in the past two weeks AND Ben and the boys still won't back off the $100 stand-by fee after everyone else has thrown in the towel. I can't even imagine what they are thinking.

At this point do you think that there is anything positive that we can do to help keep US in business?

It is getting awfully hard to take them seriously. The lack of attention to the problems with the revenue model boggles the mind.

You might have some success calling Isom or Usery and pointing out the disconnect in fares while stressing that you're trying to spend a bunch of money with them. It might be a case of nobody having noticed that the routes need attention...

It's pretty pathetic when customers have to call VPs to give a company money.

Letters and e-mails to Usery have gone unanswered. Isom has responded several times with boilerplates.

While your efforts are noble, at this time, I wouldn't recommend spending any money on them. I hope I'm wrong, but it is painfully obvious to me that this management team does not want to operate US as a going concern.
