I have a six hour connection at Philly on my way from France to Canada. US Airways and US Immigration willing I am hoping to have about three hours to slip into town, catch the bell, and eat. Is there any light American idine establishments at the airport or near the bell that someone could recommend? Thanx.

If you insist on the American food and idine combo you could try Lucy's on Market between 2nd and 3rd streets. The food is pretty good but not out of this world. It is traditional homestyle grub (mac and cheese is an entree) at reasonable prices. It is really more of a night spot with fair attention given to food. There are tons of great restaurants down in the 2-5 block east of the Liberty Bell. The neighborhood is called Old City and there is plenty of historical stuff if that is your interest.

As for the 6 hr in and out to make your connection... it all depends on what order your flight arrives into PHL. If yours is the first or second flight in, you should not have much of a problem. More than that however, and you may be a little rushed going back and forth.

There are plenty of Idine restaurants in this area. Do a search at the Idine site for zip code 19106.
